MY WOODLAND JOURNEY

My love for woodland started during a time in my life when it provided a safe canopy, camouflage, space for administration. What feels like a previous life, I spent thirteen years In the 7th Parachute Regiment, Royal Horse Artillery – operating in woodlands gave me an appreciation I didn’t know I had..

After leaving the military, I’ve enjoyed visiting my local woodlands in Worsley, Rivington, Padley Gorge and National trust breaks. I returned to woodlands with a new purpose, a fresh perspective and a camera! Photography became my bond with woodland, a connection between me and nature.
